Description
IGF-1 LR3 (Long Arg3 IGF-1) is a recombinant variant of insulin-like growth factor 1 with a 13-amino acid N-terminal extension and a glutamic acid to arginine substitution at position 3. These modifications reduce affinity for IGF binding proteins (IGFBPs), resulting in higher free peptide availability in research systems. It is used to study IGF-1 receptor signalling, cell proliferation, differentiation, and anti-apoptotic pathways.
