Description
SNAP-8 (Acetyl Glutamyl Heptapeptide-3) is a synthetic octapeptide analogue of the N-terminal fragment of SNAP-25 (synaptosomal-associated protein of 25 kDa), a component of the SNARE complex mediating neurotransmitter vesicle fusion. It is studied in cell models for its competitive inhibition of SNARE complex assembly, making it a tool compound for examining neuromuscular junction signalling and acetylcholine release regulation.
