Description
Triptorelin is a synthetic decapeptide GnRH superagonist with a D-Trp6 substitution that dramatically increases GnRH receptor affinity and resistance to enzymatic degradation. In research models it produces initial gonadotropin stimulation followed by receptor downregulation (desensitisation), making it a classical tool compound for studying GnRH receptor internalisation, HPG axis suppression, and pituitary desensitisation mechanisms.
