DSIP (Delta Sleep-Inducing Peptide; Trp-Ala-Gly-Gly-Asp-Ala-Ser-Gly-Glu) is a neuropeptide originally isolated from rabbit cerebral venous blood during slow-wave sleep induction. Research applications include studies of HPA axis modulation, corticotropin and somatostatin release, circadian rhythm regulation, and sleep-wake cycle control at the neuropeptide signalling level.
