Description
LL-37 is the sole member of the cathelicidin family expressed in humans—a 37-amino acid cationic amphipathic peptide derived from the C-terminal domain of hCAP18. In research settings LL-37 is studied for its roles in innate immune signalling, epithelial cell migration, angiogenesis, and wound-healing models. It also serves as a tool compound for studying LPS binding and Toll-like receptor interactions.
